Dede Korkut Hikâyelerinde Kadın ve Aileye Verilen Önemin İncelenmesi

Özet

Bu makalenin amacı Dede Korkut Hikâyelerinde kadın ve aile kavramlarının, aile içi ilişkilerin, aileyle ilgili gelenek ve göreneklerin o dönem için ne ifade ettiğini belirtmektir. Kadın ve aileye verilen önemi belirtmek adına on üç hikâye tek tek incelendi. Kadın ve aile kavramları hemen her hikâyede geçmektedir. Kadın, eşiyle beraber düşmana karşı savaşan yiğit bir bireydir. Türk kültüründe kadın, ailede söz sahibidir ve ailenin temelidir. Tüm bu incelemeler sonunda görüldü ki hikâyelerde kadın ve aile çok önemli iki kavramdır. Hikâyelerde aile birliğine, eşlerin birbiriyle münasebetlerindeki saygıya, sevgiye verilen öneme, kadının yiğit davranışlar sergileyebildiğine, evlatların ailede ve Türk kültüründe ne kadar önemli olduğuna dair bulgular elde edildi. Bu çalışma ile Dede Korkut Hikâyelerinin sadece birer hikaye olmadığını, Türklerin sosyal ve kültürel hayatlarında hikayelerin önemli bir kültür taşıyıcısı olduğunu göstermek istedik.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to point out the concepts of the words woman and family, family relationships and what the customs about family meant in that term. For this aim, thirteen different stories were analyzed to emphasize the importance of the woman and the family concepts. Almost all these stories have the woman and the family concepts. In these stories, woman is pointed out as a hero who fights together with her husband on battle fields. In Turkish culture, the woman is dominant character and she is the base of a family. At the end of these studies, we see that woman and family are the most important concepts in stories. Family relations, the respect and love between husband and wife, heroic behaviours that woman can have, the importance of her children in Turkish culture and family are the concepts we see in stories. With this project, we aimed to indicate that Dede Korkut Stories are not only simple stories but also they have an important cultural carrier role in Turkish people’ lives.
