YOĞUN BAKIMDA ÇALIŞAN YARDIMCI HİZMET PERSONELİNİN EL HİJYENİ UYUMUNUN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Özet
Amaç:Yoğun Bakım üniteleri;invaziv işlemlerin çokluğu, yatış süresi, hastaların kişisel özellikleri ve altta yatan hastalıkları gibi nedenlerden dolayı sağlık bakım ilişkili enfeksiyonunun en sık görüldüğü hastane bölümlerindendir. Enfeksiyonun oluşması ve yayılmasının önlenmesi için altın kural olarak kabul edilen el hijyeninin yapılan araştırmalarda yeterli düzeyde olmadığı saptanmıştır. Bu bilgiler doğrultusunda araştırmamız; yoğun bakım ünitesinde hasta bakımına yardımcı ve ünite temizliğinden sorumlu olan yardımcı hizmet personelinin el hijyenine uyum durumunun saptanması amacıyla planlanmıştır. Gereç ve yöntem:Araştırma İzmir´de 4 sağlık kuruluşunda (yoğun bakım ünitelerinde) 15.03-30.04.2016 tarihleri arasında yapılmıştır.Araştırmanın örneklemini yoğun bakım ünitelerinde çalışan ulaşılabilen yardımcı hizmet personeli oluşturmuştur (n=88).Araştırmada veriler; kişisel bilgi formu ve Yardımcı Hizmet Personeli El Hijyeni Uyum Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. İstatiksel değerlendirmede sayı yüzde dağılımları, iki grubun ortalamaları arasında bağımsız iki grup t testi, ikiden fazla grubun ortalamalarının karşılaştırılmasında ANOVA testi kullanılmış ve p <0.05 anlamlı olarak kabul edilmiştir. Bulgular:Araştırmaya katılan yardımcı hizmet personelinin %43,2 sinin 30-39 yaş grubunda, %61,4 ünün erkek,%68,2 sinin evli,%36,4 ünün lise mezunu, %67 sinin gelirinin giderinden az olduğu,%38,6 sının yoğun bakımda 1-5 yıldır çalıştığı, haftalık çalışma saati ortalamasının 47,6 +3,06, yardımcı hizmet personeli el hijyeni uyum ölçeği puan ortalamasının 73,76+10,3 olduğu saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Çalışmamızda yardımcı hizmet personelinin el hijyeni uyumunun yüksek düzeyde olduğu saptanmıştır.
Abstract
Objective: Intensive care units; hospital departments where healthcare-related infections are most often seen due to reasons such as the multiplicity of invasive procedures, hospitalization duration, personal characteristics of the patients and underlying diseases. It has been determined that the hand hygiene, which is considered as the golden rule for preventing the develop and spread of the infection, is not sufficient in the researchers conducted. İn the line with these information,our research planned with the aim of determine hand hygiene compliance status of auxiliary service personnel who are assist patient care and responsible to cleaning the service in intensive care unit.Materials and methods: The study was carried out in four healthcare organization (intensive care units) in İzmir between 15.03-30.04.2016. The sample of the study consisted of an accessible auxiliary service personnel working in intensive care units (n = 88).Data of research collected by using Personal İnformation Form and Scale For Hand Hygıene Complıance Of Auxiliary Servıce Staff . Statistical analysis was performed with number percent distributions, independent two-group t-test between two groups and ANOVA in comparison of two-way group mean scores and p <0.05 was considered significant.Results: 43.2% of auxiliary service staff participated in the survey were in the 30-39 age group, 61.4% were male, 68.2% were married, 36.4% were high school graduates, 67% of them had less income than their expense, %38, 6 working in intensive care unit for 1-5 years, weekly working hours average 47,6 +3.06 and auxiliary service staff hand hygiene compliance score average is73,76 +10,3. Conclusion: It has been determined in our research that hand hygiene compliance of and auxiliary service staff is high.
