Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de mevduat, banka kredileri ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki karşılıklı etkileşimi araştırmaktır. Çalışmada, kredi, mevduat ve büyüme arasındaki ilişkinin yönünü belirlemek amacıyla, 1998:1- 2012:1 dönemine ait üçer aylık veriler Granger Nedensellik testi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgulara göre; mevduatlardan ekonomik büyümeye doğru, ekonomik büyümeden krediye doğru ve mevduatlardan da krediye doğru tek yönlü nedensellik ilişkileri tespit edilirken, büyümeden mevduatlara, krediden büyümeye ve krediden mevduata doğru nedensellik ilişkisi elde edilmemiştir.
Abstract
The aim of this study is investigating the relationship between deposits, bank credit and ecomomic growth in Turkey. In this study , three monthly data from 1998:1 to 2012:1 periods have been used and Granger Causality test for the investigation of direction of causality between deposits, credit and economic growth has been applied. According to the findigs; there are unidirectional causality from deposits to economic growth, from economic growth to credit and from deposits to credits. But, any causality for opposit hasn’t been found.
