ATHOL FUGARD’IN “ADA” OYUNUNUN SUSKUNLUK SARMALI KURAMI BAĞLAMINDA VE GÖSTERGEBİLİMSEL YAKLAŞIMLA DRAMATİK METİN ANALİZİ

Özet
İnsanlık tarihinin en eski sanat dallarından biri olan tiyatro sanatı; gerek kapsamı, gerekse de uygulanma biçimi bakımından diğer bilim ve sanat dallarıyla da sıkı ilişki içindedir. Söz konusu bu çalışmada; iletişim bilimi ile tiyatro sanatı arasındaki ilişki ‘Suskunluk Sarmalı’ bağlamında açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu yönelişle suskunluk sarmalı kuramı ile tiyatro sanatı arasındaki etkileşimi örneklendirmek adına Athol Fugard’ın ‘Ada’ adlı oyunu, model olarak seçilmiştir. Bu amaçla oyunun derin anlamına yönelik makro çözümleme stratejisinde; göstergebilimsel bir yöntem, mikro çözümleme stratejisinde ise; dramaturjik inceleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Hedefe yönelik inceleme planında izlenilen yöntem; birbirlerinden bağımsız olarak seçilmiş bağlantı odakları oluşturmak ve bunların göstergebilimsel şifreleri kırılarak, oyun metnindeki ‘susma’ eyleminin anlam evrenine ulaşmak olmuştur.
Abstract
The art of theater, which is one of the oldest branches of art in human history, is closely related with other sciences and arts in terms of scope and application form. In this study, the relationship between communication art and the art of theater was tried to be explained in the context of "The Spiral of Silence” Theory. Athol Fugard's play 'The Island' was chosen as a model in order to illustrate the interaction between "the spiral of silence" theory and the art of theater. Semiotic method was used in the macro analysis strategy for explaining a deep meaning of a play. In the micro analysis strategy dramaturgical analysis method was used.In the methodology that is followed in the goal-oriented review plan, to reach the meaning universe of the 'silence' action in the text independent connection foci were created and their semiotic passwords were broken.
