ÖĞRENCİ SEÇME VE YERLEŞTİRME MERKEZİ (ÖSYM) WEB SİTESİ'NİN KULLANILABİLİRLİĞİ HAKKINDA BİR DURUM ÇALIŞMASI

Özet

Günümüzde, internet kullanımı hayatın ayrılmaz parçasını oluşturmakta ve devlet kurumları hizmetlerini internet ortamlarına aktarmaktadır. Sunulan hizmete ulaşan kullanıcı sayılarının her geçen gün hızla artması, web sitelerinin kullanılabilirliği problemini ortaya koymaktadır. Oluşan bu problemin çözümü ise insan ile bilgisayar etkileşiminin en üst düzeye çıkması ile sağlanabilir. Resmi bir kurum olan Öğrenci Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi’nin (ÖSYM) 2016’da yenilenen web sitesinin “etkililik, verimlilik ve memnuniyet” açısından kullanılabilirlik düzeyinin bu çalışma ile ortaya çıkarılması amaçlamaktadır. Web sitesi, deneysel yaklaşım kullanıcı testleri kullanılarak süreç sonu değerlendirme yapılmaktadır. Nielsen’in katılımcıların seçimi ve sayısı hakkındaki görüşlerine dayanılarak; en az lise mezunu, bilgisayar kullanma becerileri orta derecede olan, interneti gün içerisinde kullanan ve kullanılabilirlik çalışmasına konu olan web sitesini daha önce kullanmış 10 kişi katılımcı olarak seçilmiştir. Morae programı ile gerçekleştirilen kullanıcı testinde 10 katılımcıya sırasıyla; 9 görev ve görevlerin ardından Sistem Kullanılabilirlik Ölçeği (SKÖ) yaptırılmaktadır. Test süresi boyunca katılımcıların görüntü ve ses kayıtları alınmış ve iki kullanılabilirlik uzmanı tarafından değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular tüm katılımcıların görevlerden ortalama başarıları %56,8, görev tamamlama sayıları ortalama 6,2 ve SKÖ memnuniyet derecesi %47,75 ile düşük memnuniyet olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır.

Abstract

Nowadays, the use of internet is an integral part of life and the state institutions transfer their services to the Internet. The rapid increase in the number of users reaching the service each day, reveals the problem of the availability of websites. The solution of this problem can be achieved by maximizing the interaction between human and computer. The aim of this study is to determine the level of usability of the website of the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), which is an official institution, in terms of web effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction, in 2016. Web site, experimental approach is done by end-ofprocess evaluation using user tests. Based on Nielsen's views on the selection and number of participants; At least high school graduates, computer skills in the intermediate level, which uses the Internet during the day and which is the subject of usability studies previously used 10 people were selected as the website. In the user test performed with the Morae program, 10 participants respectively; After 9 tasks and tasks, System Usability Scale (SUS) is performed. During the test period, the image and sound recordings of the participants were taken and evaluated by two usability experts. The results of the study revealed that the average success of the participants was 56.8%, the number of task completion was 6.2 and the satisfaction level of SUS was 47.75%.
