Özet

arak görülmektedirler. Günlük hayatımızın hemen her anında karşımıza çıkan logo ve amblem- ler, çoğu zaman fark edilmeseler de mitolojik bir algının izini taşırlar. Bu düşünceler, kimi zaman da kentsel imgelerle birleşir ve bulunduğu kentin üniversitesinde bir logoya dönüşür. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de devlet ve vakıf olmak üzere toplam 172 üniversitenin logo ve amblemi, taşıdıkları mitolojik anlam açısından ele alınmıştır. Hitit-Eti, Yunan, Arap-Fars ve Türk mitolojilerinden izler taşıdığı tes- pit edilen bu logo ve amblemlerde atalar kültü, Hitit-Eti mitolojisi, çift başlı kartal, hayat ağacı, bay- kuş, tıbbın sembolü yılan, arı, karınca, koçbaşı, zeytin dalı, dağ kültü, ay yıldız, güneş, lale gibi mitolo- jik kökenli simgelere yer verildiği görülmüştür. Çalışmadaki amaç, logolardaki mitik arka planın ırkî kökenlerini ortaya koymaktan ziyade, logo ve amblem tasarlanmasında tasarımcıların tercihini, hangi mitik imgelerin olumsuzlanarak hangilerinin benimsendiğini vurgulamak, mitik imgelerin amblem ve logolar aracılığı ile günümüzde uygulanabilirliğini göstermektir. Çalışmada teker teker üniversite logolarını verip açılımını yapmak yerine mitik imgenin simgeye dönüştüğü logolar üzerinden örnekler verilerek tartışılmıştır.

Abstract

In today’s business world logos, especially in the context of creating a sense of identity are seen as powerful instruments. Logos and emblems, encountered in almost every moment of our daily lives, serves mostly as a tool to track down the mythical belief past to the present. This mythical thought, is also preferable to design logos and emblems of universities. In this study, 172 state and private universities’ logos and emblems are discussed in terms of their mythical meaning. Logos and emblems, identified as being followed Greek, Hittite-Eti, the Arab-Persian and Turkish mythology, include the cult of the ancestors, the mythology of the Hittites-meat, double-headed eagle, tree of life, owl, snake as a symbol of medicine myth, bee, ant, olive branch, the cult of a mountain, star, the sun, tulip and icons are also included mythological origin. The purpose of the study is to emphasis the designers’ choice of the design of the logo and emblem, the adoption of which highlights of mythic images, the externalize of which logos and emblems and to show the way at these points rather than to lay out the origins of racial Logos mythical belief. In the study, instead of listing one by one university logos and their expansion, logos are transformed into the mythical image of the icon has been classified and discussed by giving examples.
