Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Dönüştürücü Öğrenme Modeline Dayalı Geliştirilen Etkinlikler ile İngilizce Eğitimi alan üniversite öğrencilerinin geçtikleri bakış açısı dönüşümü aşamalarını derinlemesine incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Ses kayıt cihazına alınan görüşmelerin transkriptlerinden, öğrencilerin doldurdukları görüşme ve yansıtıcı günlük formlarından edinilen veriler Mezirow’un bakış açısı dönüşümünün bütünsel döngüsünün yer aldığı aşamalar çerçevesinde içerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Öğrencilerle yapılan görüşmelerden ve öğrencilerin yazdıkları yansıtıcı günlüklerden elde edilen nitel verilerin sonuçlarına göre; öğrencilerin dönüştürücü öğrenmeye dayalı etkinlikleri, İngilizce dersindeki bakış açılarının değişiminde etkili buldukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Çeşitli öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerinin birlikte kullanılmasının öğrencilerin dönüştürücü öğrenmelerine katkısı olduğu görülmüştür.
Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the perspective transformation phases of university students who have taken English Education with Learning Activities Developed Based on the Transformative Learning Model. For this purpose, semi-structured interview technique, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The data obtained from the transcripts of the interviews received on the voice recorder, the interviews and reflective diary forms filled out by the students were analyzed by the content analysis method within the framework of the phases of the holistic cycle of Mezirow's perspective transformation.According to the results of the qualitative data obtained from the interviews with the students and the reflective diaries written by the students; It was concluded that the students found that the activities based on transformative learning were effective in changing the perspectives in the English course. It has been seen that the use of various teaching methods and techniques together contribute to the transformative learning of the students.
