Yozgat’ın Alternatif Turizm Potansiyelinin Belirlenmesine Yönelik Bir Alan Araştırması

Özet

Globalleşen ve nüfusu hızla artan dünyada her ülke var olan potansiyellerini en rasyonel ve uygun şekilde değerlendirip, sektörler arasında entegrasyonu ve sürdürebilirliklerini ön planda tutarak, sosyoekonomik, kültürel ve teknolojik açıdan geliştirme çabası içindedir. Türkiye’de turizm sektörü içinde yer alan ve önemli bir potansiyele sahip olan alternatif turizmi harekete geçirerek başta sosyoekonomik kalkınma olmak üzere her yönden kalkınmayı hedeflemektedir. Dünyada meydana gelen ekonomik, sosyal, kültürel ve teknolojik gelişme ve değişimleri zamanında ve yerinde alabilen ülkeler ileri konumlara ulaşabilirler. Özellikle 1970’li yılların başından itibaren hava, su, toprak, görüntü ve gürültü kirlenmesi olmayan bölgelerde ülkeler alternatif turizm tercihlerini ön plana çıkarmaya başlamışlardır. Alternatif turizm, gelişmemiş ya da sanayinin gelişmesine uygun olmayan bölgelerde, sosyal dengesizlikleri ortadan kaldırarak, göçü ve işsizliği de büyük ölçüde önler. Alternatif turizm, bölge insanının sağlık ve dinçliğini koruyarak bedensel, ruhsal, bilişsel ve sosyal yönlerden güçlendirerek, halkın başarı ve motivasyonunu artırır. Ayrıca doğal, tarihi, arkeolojik alanlar ile yapıların korunmasında ve halkın bilinçlenmesini sağlar. Bu çalışmada, Yozgat’ın sahip olduğu alternatif turizm potansiyeli ile bölgesel kalkınmaya etkileri değerlendirilecektir. Öte yandan Yozgat’ın merkez ilçesi dâhil 14 ilçesinde yapılan alan araştırması ile bu konuda yapılmış araştırmalar da dikkate alınarak, SWOT Analizi ve yerel paydaşlarla yüzyüze derinlemesine görüşme tekniğiyle nitel araştırma yöntemiyle değerlendirilerek Yozgat’ın önemli alternatif turizm potansiyeline sahip olduğu gerçeğine ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract

In a globalizing and rapidly growing world, each country seeks to develop its existing potentials from the socio-economic, cultural and technology point of view in most rational and appropriate way by prioritizing integration and sustainability among the sectors. Alternative tourism with a significant potential is situated within the tourism sector in Turkey should be triggered for specifically socio-economic development as well as considerable progress in all aspects. Countries that can take the economic, social, cultural and technological developments and changes in the world in time and on the spot can reach advanced situations. Especially since the beginning of the 1970s, countries have started to emphasize alternative tourism preferences in regions where air, water, soil, visual and noise pollution are not seen. Alternative tourism also prevents immigration and unemployment to a great extent by eliminating social imbalances in undeveloped or unsuitable areas for industrial development. Alternative tourism enhances the success and motivation of the people by preserving the health and vigor of the people of the region, strengthening them in physical, mental, cognitive and social aspects. In addition, public awareness is raised for the protection of natural, historical, archaeological sites and structures. In this study, the alternative tourism potential of Yozgat and its effects on regional development will be evaluated. On the other hand, by taking into consideration the field research conducted in 14 districts including the central district of Yozgat and the researches carried out on this subject, the fact that Yozgat has significant alternative tourism potential has been reached by evaluating with SWOT Analysis and qualitative research method with face to face interviews with local stakeholders.
