Özet
İş analizi birçok personel işleminin temel taşıdır. Düzgün bir şekilde yürütülen bir iş analizi firmaya belirli bir iş için gerekli her türlü bilgiyi sağlar (Meredith, 2005). Mathis ve Jackson (1997)’ye göre is tanımı bir işin; görev, sorumluluk ve vazifeleri ile ilgilidir ve iş tanımı; neyin yapıldığını, neden yapıldığını, nerede yapıldığını ve nasıl yapıldığını tarif eder. İş analizinin temel ürünlerinden biri olan iş tanımı insan kaynakları süreçlerinde bir pozisyon için gerekli her türlü bilgiyi sağlamaktadır. Denizcilik İşletmeleri Mezunları’nın çoğunlukla istihdam edildiği firmalar forwarder işletmeleridir. Bu çalışma ile lisans düzeyinde aldıkları eğitim vasıtasıyla daha çok operasyon, pazarlama ve dökümantasyon uzmanı olarak görev yapan denizcilik işletmeleri yönetimi mezunlarının bu pozisyonlardaki iş tanımlarının oluşturulması ve bu sayede işe alım sürecinde hem işverenlere hem de adaylara yol gösterici bir kaynak oluşturulması amaçlanmıştır.
Abstract
Job analysis is the cornerstone of many human resourcess processes. A well-conducted job analysis provides the firm with all the information needed for a particular job (Meredith, 2005). According to Mathis and Jackson (1997), job description is related with; tasks, responsibilities and duties of a job and it identifies; what is done, why it is done, where it is done, and how it is done. Job description, one of the core products of job analysis, provides all the necessary information for a position in human resources processes. Companies in which maritime busines administration graduates mostly employed are freight forwarders. Through this study, it is aimed to establish job descriptions of maritime business administration graduates who are mostly work as operations, marketing and documentation specialists in freight forwarders through the training they have obtained at the undergraduate level and to create a guiding resource for both employers and candidates in this recruitment process.
