Özet
Amaç:Bu araştırma, köy ve kasabalarda öğrenimgören 4. ve 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin yeterli ve dengelibeslenme durumlarını saptamak ve elde edilensonuçlar doğrultusunda uygulanabilir önerilergeliştirmek amacıyla yapılan tanımlayıcı tipte birçalışmadır.Yöntem: Çalışma, Konya ili Akşehir ilçesine bağlıköy ve kasabalarda bulunan 5 ilköğretim okulundayapılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri 1 Ekim-28 Kasım2010 tarihleri arasında toplanmıştır. Abstract
Objective: This descriptive study was performed todetermine the nutritional status of third and fourthgrade students of elementary schools in villages andtowns in regard to adequate and balanced diets andto develop practical suggestions in accordance withthe results.Methods: The study was carried out in 5elementary schools in the villages and towns ofAkşehir district in Konya province. Data werecollected between October 1st and November 28 in2010. The questionnaire constructed to determinethe nutritional status in regard to adequate andwell-balanced diet of third and fourth gradeelementary school students in villages and townsconsisted of two parts and 27 questions. Chi-squaretest was used to analyse the nutritional status ofstudents according to gender; significance level wastaken as 0.05 and SPSS 17 statistical softwarepackage was used for analyses.Results: The students were between 9 and 12 yearsof age. The average number of siblings was foundas 2.78±1.02. Of the students, 73.0% statedeating 3 meals a day, whereas the same value formale students was 68.9%. While 46.9% of thefemale students expressed often buying buttermilkand milk, and 26.6% of them buying fruit juice;38.5% of the male students bought buttermilk andmilk and 20.3% of them toast, sandwiches andbagel from the school canteen. While 39.5% of thefemale students rarely consumed foods like candyand chocolate, 12.6% of the male studentsconsumed these foods daily, and there was asignificant relationship between the consumption offoods like candy and chocolate and gender(p
