Eğitimde Bencillik Ölçeğinin Geliştirilmesi: Geçerlilik ve Güvenilirlik Çalışması

Özet
Araştırma, eğitimde gözlemlenen bencilliği ölçen geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Öncelikle alan yazın taraması ile kuramsal bir alt yapı oluşturulmuştur. Ardından eğitim kurumlarında ortaya çıkan bencilik durumlarına yönelik öğretmenlerle görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Hazırlanan madde havuzu için uzman görüşü alınmış, ölçeğin son hali Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı, farklı okul türlerinde görev yapan 361 öğretmene on-line olarak iletilmiştir. Normallik testleri yapılan ölçekten 12 form çıkarılmış, geriye kalan 349 kişinin formu ile analizler yapılmıştır. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliliğini test etmek için Açımlayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. AFA’da Temel Bileşenler Analizi ve Varimax döndürme tekniği faktör özdeğeri 1, faktör yükü en az .40 alınmıştır. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi bulguları, uyum indekslerinin üç boyutlu yapıyı doğruladığını göstermektedir. Eğitimde Bencillik Ölçeği’nde, elde edilen 14 madde ve üç faktör (paylaşım, yararcılık ve zarar verme boyutu) toplam varyansın %65.60’ını açıklamaktadır. Eğitimde Bencilik Ölçeği’nin eğitim kurumlarında çalışanların bencillik düzeylerini belirlemede geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek olduğu çıkan sonuçlarla desteklenmiştir.
Abstract
The research was conducted to develop a valid and reliable scale that measures selfishness observed in education. First of all, a theoretical background has been established with literature. Then, interviews were conducted with the teachers regarding the selfishness situations coming out in educational institutions. Expert opinion was obtained for the items prepared and the final version of the scale was send to on-line 361 teachers working in different school types under the Ministry of National Education. 12 forms were removed from the normality test and the remaining forms of 349 people were analyzed. Exploratory factor analysis was performed to test the structural validity of the scale. Exploratory factor analysis and Varimax rotation technique had a factor eigenvalue of 1 and a factor load of at least .40. The results of factor analysis showed that the fit indexes confirm the three-dimensional structure. In the Selfishness Scale in Education, 14 items and three factors (sharing, utilitarianism and harm dimension) explain 65.60% of the total variance. It was supported by the results that the Scale of Selfishness in Education is a valid and reliable scale in determining the selfishness level of the employees in educational institutions. The Selfishness Scale in Education is a measurement tool that can be used safely by educators and researchers.
