ANTALYA MÜZESİ’NDE BULUNAN ROMA DÖNEMİ KANDİLLERİ

Özet

Bu çalışma ile bağış, satın alma ve zor alım yoluyla elde edilen Antalya Müzesi Roma Dönemi kandilleri için tarihlendirme çalışması yapılarak katalog oluşturulması sağlanmış ve sonuç olarak elde edilen katalog sayesinde ileride yapılacak olan çalışmalara ışık tutulması amaçlanmıştır. Makalede 27 adet kandilin benzerlerinden yola çıkılarak tipoloji oluşturulmuş ve eserler benzer örnekler ışığında tarihlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Birebir benzerleri bulunamayan örnekler ise gerek form gerekse burun yapısına bağlı olarak kullanıldığı dönemler içerisine tarihlenmiştir. Makalemizin başlığını oluşturan Antalya Müzesi Roma Dönemi Kandilleri, 12 başlık altında gruplara ayrılıp incelenmiştir. Ele geçen kandiller için katalog taraması yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmalar sonucunda eserlerin en erken MS 1. yüzyılı en geç ise MS 6. yüzyılı kapsadığı anlaşılmıştır.

Abstract

In the current study, it was possible to compose a catalogue by dating the lamps of the Roman period in the Antalya Museum that were obtained through donation, purchase and confiscation. The aim is eventually to contribute to further studies by means of the created catalogue. In the study, a typology was created based on the similars of 27 lamps, and dates were tentatively assigned in light of similar samples. The samples which did not have direct paralells were dated to the period in which they were used based on their forms and on the structures of their nozzles. The lamps of the Roman Period in the Antalya Museum, which is also the title of this study, were divided into 12 groups and were analyzed. The catalogues were searched for the lamps obtained. As a result of this study, it was determined that the lamps date from the first century AD at the earliest to the sixth century AD at the latest.
