Özet
Çin’deki müslüman toplumunda caminin fonksiyonları çok geniş, toplumsal rolü da çok büyüktür. O hem müslümanların vücudunu temizleyip dinî faaliyetlerini yürüttüğü hamamdır; hem medrese olarak dinî eğitim için kullanıp dinî bilimleri yayan, dinî âlim, hizmetçi yetiştiren okuldur; hem de müslüman toplumun siyasî, iktisadî, kültürel, yaşam ve kamu yararı için kullanılan merkezdir. Çin’deki müslümanların camisi mimari açıdan ikiye ayrılır: Birincisi, kubbesi olan Arap mimarisine göre yapılan camiler; ikincisi ise, Çin’in saray mimari stilindeki camilerdir. Çin’deki müslümanlar cami inşa etme işinde oldukça faaldirler. Bir gelenek şeklinde binlerce senedir devam ettirmektedir. Bunun en büyük sebebi, Çinli müslümanların dinî hayatında, cemaatin bir yere toplandığı alan oldukça önemlidir. Rivayetlere göre, Çin’deki en eski cami Tang hanedanı döneminde inşa edilen Guangdong şehrindeki Huayşengsi yani Hz. Muhammed’i Anma Camii’dir.
Abstract
The function and the social role of the mosques have been very significant within the Muslim society in China from as early as Tang dynasty to present. It is not only the bath where Muslims clean their bodies and carry out their religious activities; it is also the school that educates religious scholars and training religious personals by using them for religious education such as madrasa; as also being used for political, economic, cultural, life and social benefit of the Muslim community.The styles of mosques in China is divided into two architectural structures: First, the mosques built as according to the Arab architectural style with dome; the second one is the mosques in the Chinese imperial palace architectural style. Muslims in China have been very active in building mosques. This tradition has been continued for thousands of years. The most important reason for this, is that in the religious life of Chinese Muslims, the Mosque where the community can be gathered together is very important. According to historical records, ‘Huai shengsi’ (Prophet Muhammad Memorial Mosque) the oldest mosque in China, it was built in Tang dynasty (618-907) in the city of Guangdong.
