Özet
Bu çalışmada istatistiğin konusu özetlenmiş ve veri topluluklarının istatistiğin konusu olması için hangi özelliklere sahip olması gerektiği tartışılmıştır. Bilimde model kavramı üzerinde durulmuş, deterministik modellerin konusu olan olayların açıklanması için istatistik yöntemlere gerek olmadığı örneklerle anlatılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı araştırmacılara istatistik yöntemler kullanırken nelere dikkat etmeleri gerektiğini hatırlatmaktır. Denemeyi kurmadan önce, deneme esnasında ve denemeden sonra sonuçları değerlendirirken istatistik yöntemlere ihtiyaç vardır. Denemeyi kurarken istatistikçiye danışmayıp denemeden sonra sonuçları istatistikçiye getirmek çoğu zaman işin içinden çıkılmaz problemlere yol açmaktadır. Bu nedenle bilimsel bir çalışmanın her aşamasında araştırmacının bir istatistikçi ile çalışması önerilmektedir.
Abstract
The paper emphasizes the concept of modeling in science and explains with examples that events, which are not a subject of deterministic models, are the subject of statistics. The purpose of this paper is to remind researchers the issues that need to be considered in using statistical methods. Statistical methods are needed during the planning, implementation and evaluation of the results of experiment. Failing to consult with a statistician while setting up the experiment but bringing the results after getting the data often causes an inextricable knot of problems. Therefore, it is recommended that the researcher works with a statistician at every stage of a scientific study.
