Evaluation of knowledge levels about dental trauma (avulsion) and treatment approach of the students of medicine and dentistry faculties

Abstract

Aim: In this study aimed to evaluate the knowledge of 4th and 5th grade students of Dicle University Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and their approach to first intervention in the face of avulsion, which is the one of the types of dentoalveolar injuries. Material and Method: 300 students selected by random sampling method among 4th and 5th grade students of Dicle University Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. 17 questions and a questionnaire consisting of three parts were applied to the total of three hundred students from two faculties. The data obtained in this study were analyzed with IBM SPSS 21 package program. While interpreting the results, 0.05 was used as the significance level.
