Okul öncesi öğrencilerine yönelik gerçekleştirilen “ağaç bilim okulu” projesinin değerlendirilmesi

Özet
Bu proje, okul öncesi öğrencilerini küçük yaşlardan itibaren çevresel sorumluluk bilincine sahip bireyler olarak yetiştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Ankara’nın alt sosyoekonomik düzeyini temsil eden Etimesgut İlçesindeki farklı anaokulunda öğrenim görmekte olan 54-66 aylık öğrencilerden toplam 280 öğrenci ve farklı okullardan 30 okul öncesi öğretmeni katılımcı olarak yer almıştır. Proje uygulama alanı olarak belirlenen Ankara’nın Kazan İlçesi Yazıbeyli Mahallesinde bulunan Ütopya Sanat Bilim ve Oyun merkezinde katılımcılarla birlikte iki aşamalı eğitim gerçekleştirilmiştir. Toplam 10 gün sürecek projenin, ilk etabı 2 günlük teorik ve pratik öğretmen eğitimi (Etimesgut ilçesinde görev yapan ve katılımcı öğrencilerin öğretmenleri), ikinci etabı ise 8 farklı anaokulundan 35’şer kişilik öğrenci gruplarla 8 gün süren doğada uygulamalı ağaç bilim eğitimi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çocuklar için 9 etkinlikten oluşan bir eğitim programı gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ayrıca; projeye Etimesgut İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü ve Tema Vakfı destek vermiştir (Bir protokolle ortaklık sözleşmesi imzalanmıştır). Etimesgut İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü katılımcı öğrenci ve öğretmenlerin belirlenmesi, izinlerinin görevlendirmelerinin alınması desteği, Tema Vakfı ise çocuk etkinlik programının yürütülmesinde uzman görüşü desteği vermişlerdir. Konu alanlarındaki etkinliklerin yürütülmesinde grup çalışmaları drama etkinlikleri, gezi gözlem etkinlikleri, oyun etkinlikleri gibi öğrencilerin doğada etkin katılımına yönelik uygulamalar gerçekleştirilecektir. Böyle bir yaklaşımla öğrencilerin bilişsel, duyuşsal, devinişsel ve sosyal iletişim becerilerinin gelişimine olumlu katkılar sağlamanın yanında doğaya, ağaçlara yönelik olumlu duygular geliştirmeleri amaçlanmaktadır. Öğretmen ve öğrencilerin uygulamalar sürecinde ve sonrasında çevreye karşı bakış açılarının gelişimini belirlemek için yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler, resimler ve gözlemler içerik analizi ile değerlendirilerek nitel araştırma teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Okulöncesi öğrencilerinin yaşayarak ve doğada aktif öğrenmenin bu süreci desteklediği, öğrencilerin ağaçbilim okulu süresince yaptıkları bilimsel etkinliklerin gelecekte bilim adına yapmak istediklerini ifade etmede yol gösterebileceği ve bilimsel bilgiyi eğlenerek kazandıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Abstract
This Project aims to raise as individuals having awareness of environmental responsibility with pre-school students from an early age. Ankara's Etimesgut district in lower socio-economic level, representing at a total of 280 students from 54-66 months students studying form different pre-schools, and 30 pre-school teachers from different schools are be included as participants. Two-stage Training are be done with participants in Ütopya Art Science and Game Center in Kazan- Yazıbeyli in Ankara, which is determined as the project application. In the first stage of the total 10-day Project, a 2-day the oretical and practical training of instructors (participatingstudents’ teachers and teachers working in Ankara Etimesgut district), in the second stage of ita alsa form different Pre-schools with 35 groups of People are be heldwith 8-day practical tree science training in nature. A training program consisting of nine activities for children are be carriedout. To Project, Etimesgut District Directorateof National Education and the TEMA Foundation are support (with a protocol, partnership contract wassigned). Etimesgut District Directorate of National Education support determination the participating students and teachers, receiving the support of the assignment of their permits, and TEMA Foundation are supportal so expert opinion in the implementation of children'sactivities program. In carrying out theactivities in subject fields, applications such as the groupworks, drama activities, trip observation activities, game activities for the active participation of students are take place. With such an approach, it is aimed that positive feelings of students fornature and trees as well as providing a positive contribution to the development of their cognitive, affective, psychomotor and social communication skills. In the processand after of the application; semi-structured interviews to determine the development of the teachers and student’s view points towards the environment, photos and observations evaluated with content analysis, qualitative research techniques are be used. It is concluded that Pre-school students, living and supporting active learning this process in the nature, the scientific activities of the students during the period of the dendrology school, can show the way to express what they want to do in the name of science in the future und acquire scientific knowledge by amusing.
