Abstract
Purpose: The aim of this study; is to investigate the effect of 8-week badminton training on 12-13 age group badminton athletes on attention level and reaction times. Method: 45 (male = 23, female = 22) voluntary (on leave) children in the age group 12-13 were included in the study in Isparta. Children, the control group (n = 15) who does not engage in any sports activities, the badminton group (n = 15) who performs badminton basic training 3 days a week for 2 months, and the study group (n) who undergo badminton target training and coordination studies. It is divided into three groups as = 15). Burdon attention test was used to determine the attention levels of the children and the light speed trainer test was used to determine the reaction rate. In the study, measurements were taken as pretest-posttest model. In the analysis of the data obtained, Repeated Measures Variance Analysis was used in SPSS 22.0 package program. The degree of importance was accepted as (p
