Comparison of Ethical Values Compliance Levels of Different Branch Teachers According to Student Perceptions

Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul öğrencilerinin algılarına göre beden eğitimi ve spor (BES) ve din kültür ve ahlak bilgisi (DKAB) öğretmenlerinin mesleki yeterlilik ve etik değerlere uyma düzeylerini değerlendirmek ayrıca karşılaştırmaktır. Çalışmaya Samsun da bulunan Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı 27 Ortaöğretim okulunun 5. 6. 7. ve 8. sınıfta öğrenimine devam etmekte olan 257 öğrenci katılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan “Demografik Bilgi Formu”, Gündüz ve Coşkun (2012) tarafından geliştirilen “Öğrenci Algısına Göre Öğretmen Etik Değerler Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Veriler istatistiksel analizinde SPSS 21 paket programı kullanıldı. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin yaş ortalamasının 11,96 yıl, %50,6’sı kadın (130 kişi), %49,4’ü ise erkek (127 kişi) olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenleri ile din kültür ve ahlak bilgisi öğretmenlerinin etik değerlere uyma düzeylerine ilişkin öğrencilerinin görüşleri karşılaştırılmıştır. Abstract

The aim of the present study is to assess and compare the professional competence and compliance with ethical values levels of teachers of physical education and sports (PES) and religious culture and moral knowledge (RCMK) according to the perceptions of secondary school students. 257 students who were attending 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades in 27 secondary schools of Ministry of National Education in Samsun participated in the study. “Demographic Information Form” developed by the researcher and “Teacher Ethical Values Scale according to Student Perception” developed by Gündüz and Coşkun (2012) were used as data collection tool. SPSS 21 program was used for statistical analysis of data. It was found that the average age of the students in the study was 11,96 years, 50.6% (130) were female and 49.4% (127) were male. Students’ views on compliance with ethical values levels of teachers of physical education and sports and religious culture and moral knowledge were compared.
