Özet
Hemanjiyoperistomlar nadir vasküler tümörlerdir; 1/3’ü bafl-boyun bölgesinde görülür. Yavafl büyüme gösteren bu tümörler kolaylıkla benign lezyonlarla karıfltırılabilir. Boyun sol tarafında genifl kitle ile bafl- vuran 29 yaflındaki bir erkek hastada, palpasyon, ultrasonografi ve manyetik rezonans görüntülemesi- ni takiben histopatolojik inceleme ile malign heman- jiyoperistom tanısı kondu. Subklavyen ve sol verteb- ral arter dallarının ameliyat öncesinde embolizasyo- nu yapıldı. Tümörün subtotal eksizyonunun ardın- dan hasta radyoterapiye sevk edildi. On altı aydır iz- lenen olguda rekürense ya da herhangi bir komp- likasyona rastlanmadı
Abstract
Hemangiopericytomas are rare vascular tumors and one-thirds occur in the head and neck. These tumors grow slowly and may easily be mistaken tor a benign lesion. A twenty-nine-year-old man presented with a large mass on the left side of his neck. Palpation, ultra- sonography, and magnetic resonance imaging find- ings were incorporated into a histopathologic diagno- sis of malignant hemangiopericytoma. The tumor was subtotally excised following preoperative embolization of the branches of the subclavian artery and the left vertebral artery. The patient was submitted to radio- therapy. He has been under close follow-up for 16 months without any recurrences.
