Özet
Pozitif bilimle uğraşan insanlar, edebiyatçıları genelde hayalperest ve gerçekdışı olmakla yargılarlar. Edebiyatçılar ise pozitivist bilim adamlarını, ruhlarından arınmış, materyalizm sığlığında boğulmuş bir güruh olarak kabul ederler. Her iki bakış açısının, doğru kabul edileceği noktalar olmakla birlikte, bu farklı iki dünyanın insanlarının ittifak edecekleri noktaların bulunabileceği ihtimal dâhilindedir. Sonuç olarak amaç, hayatın sırlarını açığa çıkarmak ise sınırları olan bu hayatın bir noktasında buluşacaklardır. Özellikle iktisat gibi bir sosyal bilim ile edebi bir eserin kesiştiği alanları keşfetmek, bu iki farklı bakış açısının, aynı mevzu üzerinde alternatif olmaktan ziyade tamamlayıcı bir tavır takınacağı mantıktan uzak değildir. Bir taraftan maddeyi tarif ederken diğer taraftan manayı anlamaya çalışmak bir bütünlük oluşturacaktır. Bu bütünlüklü çalışma problemlerin anlaşılmasında ve çözümünde rehberlik edecektir. Bu çalışma, bu noktada bir rehber olmak iddiasında olmaktan ziyade bir ilham oluşturma gayesiyle ele alınmıştır. Bir iktisatçı olan Sabri Ülgener’in fikirleri üzerinden Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar’ın Huzur isimli romanında, iktisadi keşifler yapılarak Türk toplumunun kronik ekonomik sorunları çözümlenmeye çalışılacaktır
Abstract
Researchers in positive sciences, often presume about authors or poets to be fantastic and unrealistic. Literary writers, on the other hand, tend to regard positivist scientists as a mob purged of their souls and drowned in the shallows of materialism. Although there may be points where these arguments will be accepted, it is possible that there will be points where people from these two different worlds will agree on. As a result, if the purpose is to reveal the secrets of life, they have tocome across at some point of this limited life. Especially, exploring the areas where a social science such as economics and a literary work intersect is not far from the logic that these two different perspectives will take a complementary approach rather than being an alternative on the same subject. On the one hand, while describing the substance, on the other hand, trying to understand the meaning will create a unity. This holistic study will guide in understanding and solving economic problems. This study is handled with the aim of creating an inspiration rather than pretending to be a guide at this point. Through the ideas of Sabri Ülgener, an economist, in Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar’s novel named A Mind at Peace, economic discoveries will be made and the ongoing irrational behaviors of Turkish society will be tried to be detected and described.
