Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinin Bilimsel Araştırma Yapmaya Yönelik Kaygı ve Tutumlarının Belirlenmesi

Özet
Bu çalışma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin bilimsel araştırma yapmaya yönelik kaygı ve tutumlarının belirlenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipte olan çalışmanın evrenini, Türkiye’nin kuzey batısında yer alan bir üniversitenin hemşirelik bölümünde 2016-2017 eğitim öğretim yılında öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluşturdu. Örneklem seçiminde; evreni bilinen örneklem hesaplama formülü (%95 güven aralığı, %5 hata payı, %50 görülme sıklığı) kullanılmıştır. Hesaplama sonucuna göre örnekleme 162 öğrenci dahil edildi. Araştırmanın verileri 15 Şubat-17 Mart 2017 tarihleri arasında Öğrenci Tanıtım Bilgi Formu, Araştırmaya Yönelik Kaygı Ölçeği ve Bilimsel Araştırmaya Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği uygulanarak toplandı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde standart sapma, student t testi, kolmogorov-smirnov testi kullanıldı. Öğrencilerin araştırmaya yönelik tutum ölçeğinden 135,70±28,34 puan aldıkları ve araştırmaya yönelik tutumlarının olumlu olduğu saptandı. Süreli yayınları izleyenlerin, bilimsel araştırma okuyanların ve bilimsel toplantılara katılanların bilimsel araştırma yapmaya yönelik tutumlarının diğerlerine göre daha olumlu olduğu belirlenmiş olup, bu bulgular istatistiksel olarak da anlamlı bulundu (p<0,05). Öğrencilerin araştırmaya yönelik kaygı ölçeği puan ortalamasının ise orta düzeyde (32,09±6,38) olduğu saptandı. Araştırmada, öğrenci hemşirelerin bilimsel araştırma yapmaya yönelik kaygılarının orta düzeyde ve tutumlarının da olumlu olduğu sonucuna varıldı.
Abstract
This study was performed to determine the concerns and attitudes of nursing students for scientific research.The universe of this descriptive and cross-sectional study was composed of the students who were studying during 2016-2017 academic year in the department of nursing of a university located in the northwest of Turkey. The sample of the study included 162 students who were determined by using sample calculation formula with a known universe (confidence interval of 95%, an error rate of 5% and an incidence of 50%). Data of the study were collected by Student Descriptive Information Form, Anxiety Scale for Research and Attitude Scale for Scientific Research between February 15-March 17, 2017. Standard deviation, student t test and kolmogorov-smirnov test were used to assess data. It was found that the students have taken a score of 135.70±28.34 from attitude scale for research, meaning that their attitudes towards research were positive. It was also observed that the attitudes of the ones who were following periodicals, who were reading scientific studies and who were attending scientific meetings were more positive for doing scientific research compared to the others; and these results were found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). Mean score of the students from anxiety scale was found to be at a moderate level (32.09±6.38). In the study, it was concluded that anxiety state of the nursing students for doing scientific research was at a moderate level and their attitudes were positive.
