Özet
ÇÇalışmanın amacı, eğitim fakültesi genel kültür seçmeli ders programında yeralan Bilimin Doğası ve Öğretimi (BDVÖ) dersinin, öğrencilerin bilimselbilginin doğasına ilişkin düşüncelerine olan etkisini araştırmaktır. Çalışmanınörneklemini Bilimin Doğası ve Öğretimi(BDVÖ) dersini alan 44 öğrencioluşturmaktadır. Bu derste bilimin doğasına ilişkin konular öğrencilerindüşüncelerinden yola çıkılarak tartışılmıştır. Bu sürecin başlangıcında vesonunda öğrencilere “Bilimin Doğası Ölçeği”(BDÖ) uygulanmıştır. Buuygulamaların ön test ve son test verileri nicel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Analizsonuçları değerlendirildiğinde, BDVÖ dersinin öğrencilerin bilimin doğasınailişkin düşüncelerinde “Bilimde Öznellik ve Teknoloji” ve “Bilimde Teorilerinyeri” alt boyutlarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde gelişime yol açtığıtespit edilmiştir.
Abstract
The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of the Nature of Science andTeaching (NSAT) course, which is included in the general culture electivecurriculum of the faculty of education, on the students' thoughts about thenature of scientific knowledge. The sample of the study consists of 44 studentstaking the Nature and Teaching of Science (NTS) course. In this course,subjects related to the nature of science were discussed based on students'thoughts. At the beginning and end of this process, the "Nature of ScienceScale" (NSS) was applied to the students. The pre-test and post-test data ofthese applications were analyzed quantitatively. When the results of theanalysis were evaluated, it was determined that the NTOS course led to astatistically significant improvement in the sub-dimensions of "Subjectivity andTechnology in Science" and "The Place of Theories in Science" in students'thoughts on the nature of science.
