Öğretmenlerin Okul Ortamında Barış Eğitimine İlişkin Görüşleri

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı öğretmenlerin okul ortamında barış eğitimi hakkındaki görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır Araştırma nitel olup verilerin çözümlenmesinde betimsel yöntem kullanılmıştır Araştırmaya Akdeniz Üniversitesi Eğitim Yönetimi ve Denetimi Yüksek Lisans Programı öğrencisi veya mezunu olan toplam 17 öğretmen katılmıştır Araştırmanın görüşme formunu altı açık uçlu soru oluşturmaktadır Araştırmanın bulgularına göre okulların bazılarında barış eğitimi konusunda etkinlikler yapılırken bazılarında yapılmamaktadır Okullarda barış eğitimi ldquo;değerler eğitimi rdquo; programında öğrencilere beyin fırtınası örnek olay incelemesi yoluyla ulusal bayram etkinlikleriyle ve çocukların ailelerini de etkinliklere d acirc;hil edilerek gerçekleşmektedir Katılımcılara göre barışa duyarlı öğrencilerin yetiştirilmesinde en önemli görev öğretmenlere düşmektedir

Abstract

The aim of this research was to bring out the opinions of Turkish teachers concerning peace education in the school environment The design of this study was qualitative and descriptive analysis was used The number of the participants was 17 11 of whom were women while 6 were men and they were all volunteer teachers They were either graduates of the master rsquo;s program or were continuing their studies in the field of Educational Administration and Supervision at Akdeniz University The participants were asked to respond to six open ended questions in semi structured interview form in writing The data were collected via e mail According to the findings of the study while some of the schools had activities on peace education others did not Peace education at schools has been carried out through brainstorming case studies and activities related to national holidays with the involvement of students rsquo; parents According to the participants the most important task was to train students for being sensitive on peace belongs to their teachers nbsp;
