Bu hadislerin otoritesi esasında Kur’an’a dayanmalarından gelir ve âhâd hadislerden üstün tutulmaları mümkün değildir.
Abstract
This study discusses the authority of the Ahad narrations in opinion of Imam Shatibi. It assumes that this issue can only be understood through an understanding of his theory in Maqasid al-Shari' first, and an understanding of the origins of his theory, which goes back to the origins of the Ahl al-Ra'y in Islam second. His theory is based on the distinguishing between the certain evidence and uncertain evidence. The Ahad hadith is one of the from uncertain evidence because of two considerations. First is that the Ahad hadith has reached us not in a Certain path or chain, it is not known "mushtahir" nor supported by the work (Amal). Second is that its authority originally comes from the Qur’an, so it cannot be more reliable than Our'an. The peremptory evidences in his opinion are the Consensus and practical Sunnahs, especially the consensus of the people of Medina, and the total Qur’anic rules that establish his maqasid theory. The study showed that these ideas were derived from the school of opinion "Ahl al-Ra'y" that Shatibi belongs to. He did not depart from it, in terms of the authority of the Ahad narration except theorizing. Keywords: Hadith, Shatibi, Theory of Maqasid, Ahad Hadith, Certain Evidence.
