Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, sezaryen operasyonunda epidural anestezi sırasında oluşabilecek emetik semptomların azaltılması amacıyla, subhipnotik dozda propofol ile plasebonun etkinliğinin karşılaştırılması amaçlandı.Gereç ve Yöntem: Randomize, çift kör, plasebo kontrollü bu çalışmada sezaryen sırasında göbek kordonu bağlandıktan hemen sonra hastalara subhipnotik dozda propofol (1 mg kg-1 sa-1) veya plasebo (% 10'luk Lipovenös® 0.1 mL kg-1 sa-1) infüzyonlarına başlandı. Çalışmaya toplam 72 gebe katıldı, her grupta 36 hasta bulunmaktaydı.

Abstract

Aim: To compare the relative efficacy of subhypnotic-dose propofol and placebo in reducing emetic symptoms in non emergent cesarean section patients under epidural anesthesia.Materials and Methods: In a randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled trial parturient received iv infusion of propofol at subhypnotic-dose (1 mg kg-1 h-1) or placebo (10 % Lipovenös®, 1 mg kg-1 h-1) immediately after clamping of the umbilical cord during cesarean delivery. Seventy-two parturient were enrolled in the study, 36 in each group. Intraoperative, postoperative emetic episodes and safety assessments were performed by an investigator. Results: The groups were comparable with respect to maternal demographics and operative management. The rate of emetic symptoms (nausea, retching, and vomiting) was lower in patients who received subhypnotic-dose propofol than in those who received placebo (p
