Abstract

Recently, researchers have placed the greatest emphasis on using Deep Learning (DL) approaches for early cancer detection. In this study, A Computed Tomography (CT) scan was used to find the position of the tumor and identify the level of cancer in the body. The 6053 lung tomography dataset was processed using the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) technique in conjunction with the DL approach (data source, age group, geographical region, and sensitive data were excluded). The diagnosis and prognosis of a cancer type at an early stage have become necessary in cancer research since they simplify the following clinical care of patients. Targeted was the significance of categorizing cancer patients as benign or malignant. Using computed tomography (CT) images and image preparation procedures, DWT is used to extract features. The gathered data served as input data for processing by the created architectures. Utilizing DWT, ResNet152V2, MobileNet, VGG-16, and Inception v4 have been optimized for early lung cancer detection. Comparative findings revealed that the ResNet152V2 model presented by DWT had 91.89 percent sensitivity, 94.16 percent specificity, and 97.5 percent accuracy.
