The young urologists' academic problems in the context of law and ethics

Abstract

The European Association of Urology defnes a young urologist as an urologist under the age of 40 or the urolo -gist who has completed their residency within the last 5 years, irrespective of their current academic position. Thetime interval between the residency and higher specialization in urology is an important time period for them tolearn how to stand on their feet and realize their plans of academic career. Young urologists who want academictransition have encountered various problems nowadays in Turkey. The aim of this review is to raise awarenessabout the problems of young urologists during academic life in the context of law and medical ethics.
