A grubundaki kıvrık kulaklara transdermal östrojen yapıştırıldı. B gruplarında bir kulağa yalnız fizik stres uygulandı.Her grupta karşı kulaklar serbest bırakıldı.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate tha changes related to physical stress and transdermal estrogen administration on the cartilage tissue of ear in young and adult rabbits. We also intended to evaluate differences of the microscopic and macroscopic changes due to the physical stress alone and topical estrogen with physical stress. The adult group consisted of 16 New Zeland male rabbits with an age of six months. Additionally the young group consisted of 16 New Zeland male rabbits with an age offive weeks. The all groups were divided into four subgroups named l A-1B and 2A-2B. Right or left ears of the rabbits were folded to inner side and fıxed. The other ears of the subjects were remained intact. Topical estrogen was administered to the folded ear in groups A. Physical stres âlone was administered to the groups B. The transdermal administration of estrogen was repeated every four days for a period of six weeks. Blood samples were drawn before and during the estrogen treatment to measure the serum levels of estrogen. After six weeks of the study period, the ears, which were fixed to inner side previously, were released. The folding angles of the fıxed ears were recorded every day in the first five subsequent days. Tissue samples were taken from the folded ears for mophological evaluation. The thickness and plasticity were found to be increased in the subjects who were exposed to physical stress and topical estrogen treatment than those who were exposed to physical stress alone without topical estrogen in the adult rabbits (P
