Abstract
In this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of aminophylline from recovery of inhalational anaesthetic sevoflurane on 100 patients with of ASA I-I1 class scheduled for elective surgery. All the patients were premedicated with 0.01 mg/kg atropine and 0.06 mg/kg midazolam IM. Anaesthesia induction was done IV 2 mg/kg propofol and 0.5 mg/kg atracurium, maintenance was done with % 50 oxygen + % 50 N20, % 2 sevoflurane and 0.1 mg/kg atracurium when necessary. After sevoflurane's discontinuation; serum physiologic was given as placebo to Group I and 5 mg/kg IV aminophylline to Group II. In Group I before and after serum physiologic, in Group II before and after aminophylline heart rate, mean arterial blood pressure, peripheric oxygen saturation were recorded; in both groups anaesthesia time, eye opening, verbal response, extubation and arithmetic calculation times were recorded. Between two groups there was statistically no difference in mean arterial blood pressure, peripheric oxygen saturation and anaesthesia time. In Group II before and after aminophylline periods and when compared with Group I between after serum physiologic and after aminophylline period values of heart rate were found high (p
