Özet

Amaç: Bu çal›flmada Düzce’deki ölü do¤umlar ve bebek ölümleri, sa¤l›k hizmetlerinin de¤erlendirilmesi amac›yla incelenmifltir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çal›flma 01.01.2005 ve 31.12.2008 tarihleri aras›nda Düzce ‹linde meydana gelen 224 ölü do¤um ve bebek ölümlerinin tamam›n› kapsayan tan›mlay›c› bir çal›flmad›r. Annelerin %86,7’si çal›flmaya kat›lm›flt›r. Do¤ru ölüm h›zlar›n› elde edebilmek için 01.01.2005 ve 31.12.2008 tarihleri aras›ndaki tüm ölümler hesaba al›nm›flt›r. Araflt›rmada toplanan veriler SPSS for Windows 11.0 istatistik paket program›nda de¤erlendirilmifltir. Bulgular: Bebek ölüm h›z› 2005 ile 2008 y›llar› aras›nda Düzce Merkezde binde 10,3, Y›¤›lca ilçesinde binde 23,6’d›r. Ölü do¤umu ve bebek ölümü olan ailelerin %68,9’u alt, %20,7’si orta, %1,6’s› üst sosyal s›n›ftan ve %8,8’i iflsizdir. Ölü do¤um ve bebek ölümü olan annelerin %72’sine gebelikleri öncesinde aile planlamas› hakk›nda bilgi verilmemifltir. Ç›kar›mlar: Ölü do¤um ve bebek ölümü ile sosyoekonomik durum aras›nda olumsuz bir iliflki vard›r. Üreme sa¤l›¤› ile ilgili sorunlar›n oldu¤u tespit edilmifltir.

Abstract

Aim: In this study, stillbirth and infant mortality in Düzce were examined for the purpose evaluation of health services. Material and Method: This study is a descriptive study that covers all of stillbirth and infant mortality between 01.01.2005 and 31.12.2008 in Düzce. Between the same dates stillbirth and infant mortality were 224. 86.7% of mothers participated in the study. All deaths between 01.01.2005 and 31.12.2008 were taken into account to obtain accurate the mortality rates. The data collected in the study were evaluated using SPSS for Windows 11.0 statistical package program. Results: The infant mortality of Center of Düzce was 10.3 per thousand and 23.6 per thousand in Y›¤›lca region for the four years. Among the families who have stillbirth and infant mortality, 68.9% at low social class, 20.7% at middle social class, 1.6% at upper social class, and 8.8% is unemployed. Seventy two percent of the mothers were not informed about family planning during their pregnancy. Conclusions: There is a negative relationship between socioeconomic status and stillbirth and infant mortality. There are problems with reproductive health.
