Özet
Amaç: Tamponlu ve tamponsuz septoplasti uygulananhastalarda postoperatif mukosiliyer klirens zamanınıkarşılaştırmak.Yöntemler: Bu çalışmaya nazal deviasyonu olan 20si ka-dın, 26sı erkek 46 hasta alındı. Hastalara lokal anestezialtında septoplasti ameliyatı uygulandı. Hastalar 2 grubaayrıldı. Birinci gruba (28 hasta), septum stabilizasyonuiçin her iki nazal pasaja Merocell® tampon yerleştirildi. Postoperatif 1.haftada mukosiliyer klirens zamanı; birinci grupta devi-ye tarafta 12,5 dk, deviye olmayan tarafta 13,2 dk , ikincigrupta deviye tarafta 10,1 dk, deviye olmayan tarafta ise10,8 dk saptandı. Postoperatif 3. ayda mukosiliyer kli-rens zamanı; birinci grupta deviye tarafta 11,6 dk, deviyeolmayan tarafta 11,4 dk , ikinci grupta deviye tarafta 6,7dk, deviye olmayan tarafta ise 7,8 dk saptandı.
Abstract
Objective: To compare the postoperative mucociliaryclearance time in septoplasty with and without nasalpacking. Methods: Forty-six patients with nasal septal deviation(20 women, 26 men) were assessed in this study. Tepatients underwent septoplasty under local anaesthesia.Patients were divided in two groups. Merocell® nasalpacking was performed in both of the nasal passages forseptum stabilization in the frst group (28 patients). Onthe second postoperative day nasal packing was removedand salin irrigation solution was started. Transseptal su-turing was performed for nasal stabilization in the sec-ond group and at the sixth postoperative hour salineirrigation solution was started. Saccarine clearance testwas performed preoperatively and postoperatively at the7 th day, and 3 th month and the results were compared. Results: In the treatment of 46 patients with a meanage of 20-53, in the frst group; preoperative mucociliaryclearance time on the deviated side was 12.2 minutesand on the opposite side was 13.1 minutes. In the sec- ond group, preoperative mucociliary clearance time onthe deviated side was 11.9 minutes, and on the oppositeside 12.8 minutes. In the frst group, the postoperative1 th week mucociliary clearance time on the deviated sidewas 12.5 minutes and on the opposite side was 13.2 min-utes and in the second group on the deviated side was10.1 minutes, and on the opposite side was 10.8 min-utes. In the frst group, at the postoperative 3 th monthmucociliary clearance time on the deviated side was11.6 minutes and on the opposite side was 11.4 minuteswhile in the second group on the deviated side was 6.7minutes, and on the opposite side was 7.8 minutes. Conclusion: Te postoperative mucociliary clearancetime in patients treated for septal deviation were eval-uated. We have determined that the mucociliary clear-ance time was longer in the patients that underwentseptoplasty with nasal packing.
