Amaç: Fakoemülsifikasyonda, etkili fako zamanının, postoperatif santral korneal kalınlıktaki değişime etkisini araştırmak.Yöntem: Ocak 2003 -Haziran 2003 tarihleri arasında S. S.K. Göztepe Eğitim Hastanesi Göz Kliniğinde, Fakoemülsifikasyon yöntemi ile öpere edilen ve göz içi lens implantasyonu yapılan 48 hastanın 48 gözü incelendi. Tüm ameliyatlarda etkili fako zamanları saptanarak kaydedildi. Santral korneal kalınlık ölçümleri operasyon öncesi, operasyondan 1 gün, 7 gün, 1 ay ve 3 ay sonra yapıldı ve etkili fako zamanının postoperatif korneal kalınlığa etkisinin olup olmadığı araştırıldı. Abstract

Aim: To evaluate the relationship between the effective phaco time and the postoperative change in central corneal thickness. Methods: In this study we included 48 eyes of 48 patients operated by phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation in the Ophthalmology clinic of SSK Göztepe Teaching Hospital between the dates, January 2003-June 2003. The effective phaco time in all operations was noted. The central corneal thickness was measured preoperatively, on the 1'st and 7'th postoperative days, on the 1'st and 3'rd postoperative months, and the effect of the duration of effective phaco time on the central corneal thickness was evaluated.
