Orbital plasmasitoma

Özet

Plasmasitoma olgularında orbital tutulum son derece nadirdir. Bu bildiride maksiller sinüs tavanı ve orbitadan kaynaklanan orbital gelişme gösteren plasmasitoma olgusu bildirilmiştir. Hasta kombine frontotemporal-orbitozigomatik girişim ile öpere edilerek total tümör eksizyonu uygulanmıştır. Hastaya postoperatif üç ay sonra çekilen Manyetik Rezonans Görüntüleme 'MRQ tetkikinde rezidü tümör saptanmamıştır. Tek taraflı propitozis cerrahi sonrası kaybolmuştur. Hasta halen nörolojik olarak intakttır. Bu bildiride ayrıca cerrahi girişim tekniği ile birlikte tanı yöntemleri ve tedavi prensipleri yeniden gözden geçirilmiştir.

Abstract

Orbital involvement by plasmacytoma is rare. We describe a patient with orbital involvement by plasma cell tumor who had extramedullary plasmacytoma of the roof of the maxillary sinus and orbit. Further investigations showed no evidence of multipl myeloma. The patient was operated on with combined frontotemporal-orbitozygomatic approach. Total tumor excision was achieved and on the third postoperative month, (MRI) Magnetic Resonance Imaging revealed no tumor residue. The unilateral proptosis had disappeared and the patient was neurologicaly in a normal status.
