Özet
Bu çalışmada 1988-1997 yılları arasında astrositom tanısı alan 57 olgu retrospektif olarak incelendi. Olgularımızın 21'i kadın 36'sı erkek olup erkek kadın oranı 1.71'di. Yaş ortalaması 36.73 idi ve en çok olgu ikinci ve beşinci dekatlarda izlendi. Daumas-Duport yöntemine göre olguların %7'si derece I, %16'sı derece II, %32'si derece III ve %45'i derece IV'tü. Dünya Sağlık Örgütü (DSÖ) sınıflandırmasına göre ise olguların %23'ü astrositom, %32'si anaplastik astrositom ve %45'i glioblastom idi. Derece arttıkça olgularımızın yaş ortalamasının da arttığı tespit edildi.
Abstract
In this retrospective study, 57 astrocytoma cases were evaluated between 1988 and 1997 histopatologically. Male to female ratio was 1.71 (36 male, 21 female). The mean age of patients Was 36.73 and most of cases were encountered in the second and fifth decades of life. Of cases, there were 7% grade 1,16% grade II, 32% grade III and 45% grade IV according to Daumas-Duport system. According to World Health Organization (WHO) Classification, 23% of cases were astrocytoma, 32% anaplastic astrocytoma and 45% glioblastoma. Correlation between the age and the grade of astrocytoma was noted.
