Kraniosinostozda Orta Yüz İlerletmesi

Özet

Ancak uyumlu ekip çalışması ile tedavi edilebilen, uzun soluklu takip ve tedavi gereken kraniosinoztoz hastalarının önemli bir kesimi hayatlarının bir döneminde hava yolunun darlığı ve/veya orbital hacmin göz kürelerine dar gelmesi sebebi ile orta yüz ilerletme ameliyatına ihtiyaç duyarlar. Makalede orta yüz ilerletme endikasyonları, tedavi zamanlaması, tedavi seçenekleri ve uygulanan tedavilerin sonuçları anlatılacaktır. Kısa literatür özeti ve hasta sunumları ile konu vurgulanacaktır. Üst hava yolu darlığı, uyku apneleri ve/veya göz problemleri olan hastalarda uygulanacak orta yüz ilerletme ameliyatları ile bu sorunlar çözülebileceği gibi hastalara uzun vadede pek çok sistemik ve psikomotor fayda sağlanabilmektedir

Abstract

Craniosynostosis patients, who should only be treated in multidisciplinary manner with long-term follow-up periods, may need facial advancement surgery somehow in their life span because of upper airway obstruction and/or intraorbital volume deficit. With this article; treatment options, timing of the treatment and the outcomes of the treatment will be reviewed. Subject will be emphasized with short literature review and case presentations. Patients with obstructive upper airway problems, sleep apnea and/or orbital problems definitely benefit from midfacial advancement surgery, which may improve the systemic and psychomotor problems of these patients in the long run
