Anti-Ma2 pozitif paraneoplastik ensefalit ve mezotelyoma benzeri kötü diferansiye akciğer kanseri

Özet
Paraneoplastik ensefalit bulguları olan ve anti-Ma2 antikorlarının varlığı saptanan 47 yaşında bir kadın hastada hikaye ve toraks bilgi- sayarlı tomografi bulgularıyla yüksek olasılıklı malign mezotelyoma tanısı koyulmuştur. Plevral iğne biyopsisinde yüksek dereceli neop- lastik infiltratif hücreler tespit edilen hasta immünoterapiye rağmen kaybedilmiştir. Hücre tipi kesin ayırt edilememesine rağmen, kö- tü diferansiye akciğer kanseri ve mezotelyoma düşünülen bu hastada, anti-Ma2 pozitif paraneoplastik ensefalit ile mezotelyoma bir- likteliğinin ilk kez görülmesi nedeniyle bildirilmesi uygun görülmüştür.
Abstract
We report a case of paraneoplastic encephalitis associated with anti-Ma2 antibodies. Medical history and thorax computed tomog- raphy findings suggested malignant mesothelioma. Pleural biopsy results were compatible with high-grade neoplastic infiltration. Alt- hough the biopsy could not differentiate the type of neoplasm, mesothelioma was considered a strong possibility in this poorly dif- ferentiated lung carcinoma. To the best of our knowledge this is the first case report of paraneoplastic encephalitis associated with anti-Ma2 antibodies and mesothelioma.
