Özet
Brown-Sequard sendromu, medulla spinalisin bir yarısını bir ya da birkaç segment boyunca etkileyen bir patoloji nedeniyle, lezyon düzeyinin altında ipsilateral derin duyu ve üst motor nöron tutulumu, kontralateral ağrı ve ısı duyusu kaybı ile karakterize bir tablodur.En sık rastlanan nedenler spinal travmalar, medulla spinalisin radyasyon nekrozu ve spinal metastazlardır. Burada Brown-Sequardsendromu şeklinde kendini gösteren herpes zoster virüsü miyeliti olgusunu nadir görülmesi nedeniyle sunmayı amaçladık
Abstract
Brown-Sequard syndrome is caused by a lesion affecting one half of the spinal cord in one or more segments. Below the lesion level, there is loss of deep sensory and motor functions on the ipsilateral side, whereas loss of pain and temperature sensations is present on the contralateral side. The most common causes are trauma, radiation necrosis and spinal metastases. Here, we aimed to present a case of herpes zoster virus myelitis that was presented as Brown-Sequard syndrome, which is very rare.
