Sepsisli hastalarda tiroid fonksiyonları

Özet

Mart 1992-Haziran 1994 tarihleri arasında sepsis tanısı alan 17yaş ve üzerindeki 49 hasta çalışmaya alındı. Sepsis tanılı hastalarda tiroid fonksiyonlun ilk 24 saat içinde, iyileşen hastalarda ondördüncü günde ikinci kez çalışıldı. Hastaların 19'u (%38.7) erkek, 30'u (%6l.3) kadındı. Otuzdört (%69.4) hastada hastane dışı, 15 (%30.6) hastada ise hastane infeksiyonu saptandı. Ondört (%28.6) hasta öldü. Abstract

This study was carried out between March 1992 and June 1994. Fortynine patients diagnosed as sepsis, sepsis syndrome or septic shock and over 17 year old were included in the study. Within the first 24 hour of the sep-sis diagnosis, thyroid function tests were performed. The tests were repeated in the recovered patients at 14th day. Nineteen patients (38.7%) were male and 30 (61.3%) female. Fifteen of 49 (30.6 %) patients had hospi-tal acquired and 34 (69.4 %)patients community acquired sepsis.
