Özet

Akrep zehirlenmesinin spesifik tedavisi, akrep serumu uygulamasidir. Akrep serumu uygulamasini takiben hafif alerjik reaksiyonlar gorulmekle birlikte, anaflaksi gelismesi oldukga nadirdir. Bu yazida akrep sokmasi sonrasi lokal agn ve sislik nedeniyle uygulanan akrep serumu takiben anaflaksi gelisen bir olgu sunulmustur. Potansiyel anaflaksi riski nedeniyle sadece lokal belirti ve bulgulan olan olgularda antivenom tedavisi uygun degildir.

Abstract

The specific therapy of scorpion sting is the administration of specific ,antivenin. Early mild allergic reactions may develop following to antivenin administration, but anaphylaxis is very rare. In this article we report a ca¬se of systemic anaphylaxis after specific antivenin administration due to local pain and swelling following scorpion sting. Antivenin administration following scorpion sting is not appropriate for cases only with local manifestations because of potential risk of anaphylaxis.
