2. Tedavinin bitiminde her iki grubun ağrı şiddeti dağılım oranında fark saptanmadı. 3- Her iki grubun atak sıklığındaki azalma benzer bulundu. 4.
Abstract
Objective: This study was done to compare the efficacy of flunarizin, a calcium-channel blacker which is frequently used in migraine prophylaxis, and amlodipin, which is being reported as an effective agent for migraine prophylaxis lately. Method: Seventy-six patients (17 men, 59 women) having migraine without aura were randomized to take 10 mg/day flunarizine or 5 mg/day amlodipine for three months. Migraine attack number, the intensity of pain were evaluated monthly, and the effectiveness of drugs were evaluated after three months. Statistical analysis was performed with Kolmogorov Simimov, paired and independent samples t test. Results: The results are as follows: 1. In both groups, there was no difference between the benefit ratio of the drugs. 2. At the end of the therapy, there was no difference in the distribution ratio of pain intensity in both groups. 3. In both groups, the decrease in the frequency of the attacks was similar. 4. In both groups, the decrease in headache number and pain intensity between before therapy and during the months on therapy were significant (for all of three months p
