Özet

Kerkük şehrinde yakalanan 125 Sturnus vulgaris parazitleri yönünden incelenmiştir. Sestodlardan Dilepis undula, Dilepis longisaccata ve Passerilepis accoralis-, Acanthocephala'lardan ise sadece tek bir tür Prosthorhynchus gracile (%4) saptanmıştır, Hematozoonlardan veya artropod ektoparazitlerden herhangi bir örneğe rastlanmamıştır. Sonuçlar daha önceki çalışmalarla karşılaştırılmıştır.

Abstract

A total of 125 birds of the Sturnus vulgaris species captured in the Kirkuk city were examined for parasites. Three species of cestodes were recovered, namely, Dilepis undula, Dilepis longisaccata and Passerilepis accolaris. Of the acanthocephala, only Prosthorhynchus gracile (4%) was found. Neither haematozoans nor artlıropod ectoparasites were recovered in this study. A comparison was made with previous observations.
