Özet
Toxoplasma gondii insanlar dahil hemen bütün memeliler ve kuşları enfekte edebilen tüm dünyada yayılıra gösteren bir zoonozdur. Bu hücre içi parazit ile oluşan toxoplasmosis enfeksiyonu genellikle asemptomatik seyrettiğinden, tanıda serolojik testlerden yararlanılmaktadır. 1995-2000 yılları arasında Toxo-EIA IgM, IgG istenilen 1720 hasta serumunda Toxo-EIA IgM, IgG testleri çalışılmış ve Sabin Feldman Dye Testi (SFDT) ile sonuçlar karşılaştınlmıştır. Toxo-EIA, IgM ve/veya IgG ile 625 örnek, SFDT'nde ise 613 örnek (1/16 ve üstünde) pozitif olarak bulunmuştur. Toxo-EIA, Sabin Feldman Dye Testi ile karşılaştırıldığında duyarlılığının %96.6, özgüllüğünün ise % 97.0 olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Abstract
Toxoplasma gondii is a worldwide zoonosis that can infect most mammals including humans as well as birds. The infection caused by this intracellular parasite is commonly asymptomatic, so serological tests are preferred for diagnosis. The Toxo-EIA IgM, IgG tests were used to investigate 1680 sera and the results were compared with the Sabin Feldman dye test (SFD). The results showed that 625 patients were IgM and/or IgG positive with the Toxo-EIA test and 613 patients were positive (1/16 and over) with the SFD lest. The Toxo-EIA test was evaluated using the SFD test showing that sensitivity and specificity of EIA is 96.6% and 97.0%, respectively.
