Özet

Fener otu (Physalis spp.) türlerinin Harran Ovası pamuk ekim alanlarında giderek yaygınlaştığı ve bu yoğunluğun son yıllarda daha da arttığı gözlemlenmiştir. Fener otu türlerinin yaygınlık ve yoğunluklarının değişimini belirlemek için Harran Ovası'nda 50 adet örnekleme yapılmıştır. Fener otu türlerinin yayılma ve bulaşma yolları ile ovaya ne zaman bulaştığını belirlemek amacıyla anket -çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla ovayı temsil edecek sayıda 50 adet anket hazırlanarak üreticilere uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca üreticilerden, pamuk tohumu satıcılarından ve çır çır fabrikalardan tohumluk örneklen alınarak incerisinde fener otu türlerinin tohumlarının olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Anavatanı Türkiye olmayan bu bitkinin Harran Ovası'na nasıl geldiği ve hangi yollarla bulaştığını saptamak amacıyla yapılan bu çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlardan tohumla gelmiş olabileceği ve gerek tohumluk ve sulama suyu ile de giderek daha fazla alana yayıldığı saptanmıştır. Bu çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlarla, fener otu türlerinin yayılması ve pamukta meydana getirdikleri büyük orandaki verim kayıpları önlenmiş olacaktır.

Abstract

Physalis species become troublesome in cotton in Harran Plain because of increasing their density and rapid spreading in recent years. To determine the changing in the frequency and densities of Physalis species, a survey was performed in 50 fields. Additionally, to find out the reasons infestations and distribution ways of this weed species a questioner was performed on cotton growers. The samples taken from the farmers seeds, seed suppliers and gin factories were investigated to determine whether infested with seeds of Physalis species or not. Physalis species are not native weeds of Turkey and also in Harran Plain. The main objective of this study is determine how and where come from this species in Harran Plain and infestation way. Based on the results of study it was found that this weed species might be come to the Harran Plain by the cotton seeds and rapidly spread by both seeds and irrigation. Based on the results of this study infestation of Physalis species and huge amount of cotton yield will be prevented.
