Kırsal bölgede yaşayan kadınların aile planlaması yöntemi tercihlerine yaş ve eğitimin etkisi

Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, Giresunun kırsal bir bölgesindeyaşayan evli kadınların yaş ve eğitim durumlarının, aile planlaması yöntemi tercihlerine etkisini belirlemekti.Yöntem: Çalışma Giresun Dereli Şehit Er Necmettin Atik Aile Sağlığı Merkezine 01.08.2012-01.02.2013 tarihleri arasındabaşvuran 18-49 yaş grubundan 651 evli kadının bilgileri geriyedönük incelenerek yapılmıştır. Veriler doktor ve hemşireler tarafından doldurulan 15-49 yaş kadın izlem formlarındanalınmıştır.Bulgular: Çalışmamızda yer alan 651 kadından 383ü (%58,8)modern korunma yöntemlerini tercih etmekteydi. Modern korunma yöntemi kullanan kadınlar (34,6±7,9 yaş), gelenekselkorunma yöntemi kullanan kadınlara (38,2±7,9 yaş) göre dahagençti (p=0,001). Kullanılan modern korunma yöntemleri deyaşa göre farklılık göstermekteydi (p=0,001). Doğum kontrolhapı ve kondom kullananlar, rahim içi araç ve kalıcı yöntemleritercih edenlere göre daha gençti. Okuryazar olmayanlar, geleneksel korunma yöntemlerini diğer kadınlara göre daha yüksek oranda kullanmaktaydı (p=0,001). Eğitim düzeyi ilkokul olanların kalıcı yöntem kullanım oranları, ortaokul ve lise mezunu olanlardan daha fazla idi (p=0,020). Diğer modern korunma yöntemlerinin kullanımı kadınların eğitim durumuna görebir farklılık göstermemekteydi (p>0,05).Sonuç: Aile planlaması yöntemi seçiminde kadınların yaşı ve eğitim durumu etkili görünmektedir. Daha genç yaştakiler veeğitim düzeyi daha yüksek olanlar modern yöntemleri tercihetmektedirler.
Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the effects ofage and education on the family planning method choices of themarried women living in a rural area of Giresun. Method: The study has retrospectively been made by analysingthe data of 651 married women of 18-49 years old who appliedto Giresun Dereli Şehit Er Necmettin Atik Family Health Centrebetween the dates of August 1st, 2012 and February 1st, 2013.The data have been taken from the 15-49 age woman follow-upforms flled by the doctors and nurses.Results : Of the 651 women included in our study, 383 (58.8%)women preferred the modern family planning methods. Thewomen using the modern family planning methods (34.6±7.9years) were younger than those choosing the traditional methods(38.2±7.9 years) (p=0.001). Modern family planning methodusage differed according to the age of women (p=0.001). Thewomen using oral contraceptives and condom were younger thanthose preferring intrauterine device and permanent methods.The illiterate women used the traditional methods more thanother women (p=0.001). The rate of using permanent methodsof the women graduated from primary school was higher thanthe rate of those graduated from secondary school (p=0,020).The use of other modern family planning methods did not differaccording to the educational status of the women (p>0.05).Conclusion : It see ms that the age and educational status ofthe women have an impact on in the choice of family planningmethods. The younger and more educated women prefer themodern methods.
