ULUS TARİHİ KENT MERKEZİ TİCARET BİNALARINDA MEKÂNSAL BİÇİMLENİŞ

Özet

Ankara'nın geçmişte ilk yerleşim merkezi ve ilk ticari fonksiyonlarının toplandığı Ulus tarihi kent merkezindeki ticaret binalarının, 20.yüzyıldaki gelişiminin mekânsal ve kentsel ölçekte incelenerek, mekânsal ve planimetrik özelliklerini tespit etmek bu çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Bu kapsamda; Ulus tarihi kent merkezinde özellikle yarışmalarla elde edilmiş, Ulus Meydanı çevresinde yer alan ticaret binalarının mekânsal organizasyonları ve fonksiyon şemaları analiz edilerek karşılaştırmalı değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Analizler sonucu; Ulus tarihi kent merkezinde tarih boyunca geleneksel ticaret eyleminin devam ettiği, seçilen binaların formlarının araziye uygun, asal formlu ve düzgün geometrili olduğu, yapıldıkları dönemin mimari özelliklerini yansıttıkları, binaların zemin ve birinci katlarındaki mekânların ticaret eylemi için kullanıldığı, iki ve üzeri katlarda ise daha çok ofis olarak kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract

The aim of the study is to identify spatial and architectural components of selected buildings within the scope of Ulus Historical City Center in twentieth century using spatial analysis method by examining developments of commercial buildings that have been the first settlement center and the area that assembled first trade functions of the region in a spatial and urban fabric. Within the scale of Ulus historical city center, the spatial organization and function diagram analysis of buildings especially gained through contests and which stand within the vicinity of Ulus Square was made. It is observed that the rooms at the ground floor have been used for commercial purposes; the spaces at the second and upper floors have generally been used as an office. In the light of the findings from these analyses, it was determined that Ulus carries the features of being a historical city center and has always been a location for trade throughout the history and now, forms of the selected buildings are appropriate to the land, good in geometry, the frontline of the shops and the architectural design is implemented in accordance with the density of pedestrians.
