Özet
Evre IIIB meme kanserinde preoperatif kemoterapi sonrasında kemoterapiye cevap alınan hastalarda yapılan cenahı girişim ve adjuvan tedavi ile küratif sonuçlar elde etmek mümkün olmaktadır. Bu ça-lışmada 1989-1992 yıllan arasında preoperatif kemoterapi, radikal mastektomi, postoperatif adjuvan tedavi uygulanan evre IIIB meme kanserli 40 hastanın 3 yıllık sağkalım, hastalıksız sağkalım ve lokal kontrol oranlan ve preoperatif kemoterapiye alınan cevabın bunlara etkisi araştırılmıştır. Kombine te-davi sonucunda 3 yıllık sağkalım %90, 3 yıllık hastalıksız sağkalım %57.5, 3 yıllık lokal kontrol %85 olarak bulundu. Preoperatif kemoterapiye tam cevap alınamayanlarda ve aksillada dörtten fazla lenf bezinde metastaz saptananlarda 3 yıllık hastalıksız sağkalım anlamlı olarak düşük bulundu.
Abstract
Three-Year Results of Multimodal Treatment f or Stage IIIB Breast Cancer It is possible to obtain curative results for stage IIIB breast cancer that has been responded to thepreope-rative chemotherapy. In this study, 40 stage IIIB breast cancer patients treated with preoperative chemot-herapy, radical mastectomy and postoperative adjuvant treatments between 1989-1992 were evaluated for their 3-year survival, disease free survival and local control of tumor in regard with their tumor res-ponse to the preoperative chemotherapy. Combined treatment resulted in 90% 3-year survival, 57.5% 3-year disease free survival and 85% 3-year local control success. Three-year disease free survival was sig-nificantly lower in non-responding patients to the preoperative chemotherapy and in patients with more than four lymph node metastasis at axillae.
