Özet

Hastanemizde tüberküloz şüphesi ile tetkik edilen hastada, tetkikler devam ederken laboratuvar sonuçlarında, giderek azalan trombositopeni izlendi. Ancak bu trombositepeni ile periferik yayma arasında uyumsuzluk gözlendi. Periferik yaymada yeterli trombosit izlenmesine rağmen hemogram sonuçlarında bilgisayar raporunun uyumsuzluk nedeninin EDTA ile trombositlerin yapmış oldukları aglütinasyon olduğu görüldü.

Abstract

While performing laboratory tests on a patient in our hospital suspected of having tuberculosis, we noticed a falling platelet count. We then performed a blood smear, but the results of this test did not show a falling platelet count. After further investigation we discovered the discrepancy that was caused by EDTA-mediated agglutination of platelets.
