Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışmada tibolonun vajinal mukoza üzerindeki etkileri 17-ß estradiol ve 17-ß estradiol INETA ile karalaştırılmıştır. Materyal ve Metod: 2001-2002 yıllan arasında daha önce hiç hormon replasman tedavisi almamış 45 postmenopozal kadına 3 ay süre ile farklı tedaviler (15 hastaya 17-ß estradiol. 15 hastaya da 17-ß estradiol /INETA, 15 hastaya tibolone) verildi. Tedavilerin etkinliği pH ölçümü, vajinal sitoloji değerlendirilmesi (karyopiknotik indeks ve maturasyon değeri) ile yapıldı. Bulgular: Her 3 tedavi sonrasında vajinal pH belirgin azalırken, karyopiknotik indeks ve maturasyon değerlerinde artma saptanmıştır. Gruplar arasında bu etkiler açısından istatistiksel olarak belirgin fark saptanmamıştır. Sonuç: Tibolonun vajinal mukoza üzerindeki etkileri 17-ß estradiol ve 17-ß estradiol /NETA ile benzerdir.
Abstract
Objective: To compare the effects of tibolone with 17-ß estradiol and 17-ß estradiol /NETA on vaginal mucosa. Study design: 45 post menopausal women were evaluated before hormone replacement therapy and 3 months of treatment. 15 women received 17ß estradiol, 15 women were treated with 17 ß estradiol /NETA and 15 women received tibolone. The effectiveness of the therapies were evaluated with gynecological examinations which included assessments of vaginal pH. vaginal cytology (karyopicnotic index and maturation value). Results: There was a statistical significance between pretreatment and post treatment groups for vaginal pH and cytology, the effectiveness of treatment between groups were not different. Conclusion: Tibolone has similar effects with 17-ß estradiol and 17-ß estradiol l N ETA on vaginal mucosa.
