Demografik verileri kaydedilen hastalara long luteal protokole uygun olarak ovulasyon indüksiyonu uygulandı. Tüm hastalarda ICSI tekniği ile fertilizasyon sağlandı. Oosit aspirasyon ve embriyo transfer günü serumda CA 125 değerleri ölçüldü. Takibe alınan hastalar içerisinde gebelik tespit edilenler grup I, diğerleri grup II olarak sınıflandırıldı. Takip sonucunda %42,3 (30) vakada gebelik elde edildi ve grup I’e dahil edildi.
Abstract
Purpose: This study was designed to evaluate whether the levels of CA 125 in the serum of patients undergoing assisted reproductive tephnic cycles has a predictive value on flie outcome. Institution: Zekai Tahir Burak Women's Health Education and Research Hospital, Department of Infertility Clinic. Material And Methods: A prospective follow up study was conducted in 97 patients. Patients with a diagnosis of endometriosis were excluded. Patients, whose demographic characteristics were recorded, had ovulation induction according to the long luteal protocol. Fertilization was achived by ICSI technique in all patients. Serum CA 125 values were measured on the day of oocyte aspiration and embryo transfer. Patients were divided into two groups; women who achieved pregnancy as grup I and others as group II. Serum CA 125 levels on the days of measurement were compared with the ICSI/ET outcomes. Results: 71 of 97 patients underwent embrio transfer. Study group consisted of women whose age ranged from 23 to 41 years (mean age of 31,54), whose infertility period ranged from 1,5 to 21 years (mean year of 8,07) and whose leading cause for infertility was the malefactor with the percentage of%50,7 (36). Among the follow up patients; %42,3 (30) achieved pregnancy and were classified as group I. Group II included %57,7 (41) of the population. Serum CA 125 levels on the day of embryo transfer was de¬tected to be approximately 1,5 times higher compared with the results on the day of oocyte aspiration in both groups. However no statistical significance was reported between the ICSI/ET outcomes and the day of measurement and level of serum CA 125 between two groups (p>0,05) Conclusion: The findings in this study indicates that serum CA 125 levels has no predictive value on assisted reproductive tethnic cycle outcomes.
