Turkish Bosnian Dictionaries in Gazı Husrev Beg Library by Teaching Method For Foreigners

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı geçmişten günümüze Bosna-Hersekteki Türkçe varlığının ve eğitiminin bir sonucu olarak Saraybosna Gazi Hüsrev Bey Kütüphanesindeki el yazması Türkçe-Boşnakça sözlükleri tanıtmak ve bu eserlerdeki öğretim unsurlarını belirlemektir. Araştırmada incelenmek üzere on altı sözlük belirlenmiştir. Bu eserlerden biri olan Makbul-i Arif, şimdiye kadar önceden araştırılan bir sözlük olsa da bir yabancı dil öğretim aracı olması yönüyle ele alınmamıştır. Aynı zamanda yüzyıllar önce yazılmış olan diğer bazı sözlüklerden bahsedilmemiştir. Araştırma sonunda Bosna-Hersekte Türkçe Boşnakça sözlüklere ihtiyaç duyulduğu, Gazi-Husrev Bey Kütüphanesinde konuyla alâkalı on dört adet iki dilli ve iki adet üç dilli sözlüğün bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu eserlerin çoğunlukla günlük hayat ile ilgili sözcükleri içerdiği görülmekle birlikte bazen bilim ile ilgili terimlere de rastlanmaktadır

Abstract

The main aim of this article is to expose Turkish Bosnian dictionaries in form of manuscripts, which can be found in the Gazi Husrev Beg Library. These dictionaries are confirmation of Turkish Language existence and teaching in Bosnia and Herzegovina from the past until today. Second aim of this article is to define teaching methodology used in these dictionaries. Sixteen dictionaries are used for analysis. One of these dictionaries, Maqbul-I Arif, was analyzed from many different aspects, but it had never been analyzed from the aspect of teaching foreign languages. Other dictionaries, that were written many centuries ago, were not taken into consideration in the current analysis. Results of this analysis show that there was a need for Turkish Bosnian dictionaries felt many centuries ago. This can be seen from the vast number of dictionaries in Gazi Husrev Beg Library. This article shows that there are fourteen dictionaries in two languages and two dictionaries in three languages. Most of these dictionaries include words about daily life, but it is possibly to find science terms as well.
